300 or so people used to call this town home. During the diamond rush of the early 1900s, towns like this (Kolmanskop, Namibia) were erected almost overnight in hope of finding the precious stones. We came here on our last trip to Namibia to see for ourselves. Incredibly eerie. Buildings reclaimed by sand, wallpaper still remaining and old bath tubs literally scattered around.
